Newbridge Hockey Club Pitch Update
In 2008 Kildare County Council agreed to a long term lease of 2.6acres of land to Newbridge Hockey Club. The land is situated in Rosconnell, adjacent to Newbridge Town Football Club, Sarsfields GAA Club and Newbridge Hotspurs FC.
Newbridge Hockey Club plans to build a full size sand based Astro Turf pitch on this land.
Fundraising for our pitch is now in full swing with many local club events aimed at raising enough money to allow us to apply for National Lottery funding in 2011. If you have any fundraising ideas, please feel free to contact Carol Brennan.
Along with fundraising, the Pitch Committee are concentrating on preparing the necessary paperwork and information required for a Lottery application. Our pitch committee is comprised of Sharon Whelan, Elaine Cox, Karen Keane and Orla Stewart.
