Newbridge Hockey Club was founded in 1995 and is affiliated to the Leinster Ladies Hockey Union and the Irish Hockey Association.

Media Coverage
The Club’s media coverage is supported by a group of four members. It is the Club’s ambition to gain as much coverage as possible from weekly league matches, cup games, Interprovincial competitions, all-Ireland competitions and general hockey and club news. We aim to have both press and radio coverage continually during the season (Sept-April)

Local Press (Leinster Leader and Nationalist)
Our press coverage is significant in both papers. With four teams playing, we achieve weekly post-match coverage (Leinster league and cup) of approx 1/3rd page in the broadsheets and 2/3rd in the tabloid style pages of the Leader. In addition photographs appeared three out of every four weeks of competition. Further coverage was generated by way of all-Ireland competition – previews normally ½ page (Leader) with actual match result/analysis running to 2 pages (Leader) and 1 full Nationalist page.

Local Radio
Local radio has been used in the past to support cup and league final competitions. This season we hope to regularly take part in the Friday evening previews as well as more substantial Saturday and Sunday match coverage
